What ResyncLife Does

ResyncLife is a personal life management app that helps you see your tasks, calendar events, and goals in one place. We connect to your existing systems (calendars, GitHub, etc.) to create a unified view.

What Data We Collect

• Account information: Your email address, name, and password (hashed, never stored in plain text). If you use Apple or Google Sign-In, we receive your name and email from those services.
• Tasks and goals: Tasks you create in ResyncLife, including titles, descriptions, dates, priorities, and status.
• Calendar events: If you grant calendar access, we read event titles, times, locations, and attendee counts from your device's calendar. Calendar data is read on-device via Apple's EventKit framework and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly use the ICS feed feature.
• Provider data: If you connect GitHub or other providers, we sync task data between ResyncLife and those services using credentials you provide (e.g., GitHub Personal Access Token).
• Circle membership: When you join a family or team circle, we store your membership and any tasks you share in the circle.

How We Use Your Data

• To show you your tasks, calendar events, and goals in one unified view
• To sync your tasks with connected providers (GitHub, calendars)
• To share tasks within circles you voluntarily join
• To send you emails (invites, password resets, welcome messages) via Mailgun
• To parse voice and text input for task creation via Claude AI (Anthropic)

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell your data to anyone
• We don't use your data for advertising
• We don't share your personal tasks with other users (only circle-shared tasks are visible to circle members)
• We don't access calendars or providers without your explicit permission

Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude AI): We send task text to Claude Haiku for natural language parsing. Anthropic does not store this data beyond processing.
• Mailgun: We use Mailgun for transactional email delivery (invites, password resets).
• Apple / Google: If you use social sign-in, authentication goes through Apple or Google's identity services.
• GitHub: If you connect GitHub, we access your issues and project data using credentials you provide.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a DigitalOcean server in San Francisco. We use HTTPS for all communications, JWT tokens for authentication, and bcrypt for password hashing. Provider tokens (like GitHub PATs) are stored encrypted.

Your Rights

• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time
• You can disconnect any provider connection at any time (your tasks remain but stop syncing)
• You can leave any circle at any time
• You can revoke calendar access in iOS Settings at any time

Children's Privacy

ResyncLife is designed for family use, including children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. In family circles, parents manage their children's accounts.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
